Gee, I haven't done one of these for a while. Then again, a lot of others haven't done so either.   Well, just when we thought it was going to be alright to go out and take some happy snaps, you know, after our floods. We have Cyclone warnings out, 2 for Queensland, and one for W.A. One in Qld tomorrow or Monday. So, up early tomorrow to take photos of mad Surfers, and waves washing our beaches away again. Happy to all. P.S. All our parrots have left and gone back to the bush. plenty of water there again. Now I've got a pile of Wild Bird Seed, and no one to eat it. That's Australia. :-)

Well, we had some friends around last night to celebrate the passing of the Old Year. Boy, that was a pisser, the Old Year I mean, not the friends. Yesterday, Kerry and I searched out the coast, looking for somewhere to set the cameras up for the fireworks last night. As It was raining again just before 8.30pm, which is when the festivities start, we went to Burleigh. Earlier in the week, one of our telephoto lenses started doing all sorts of stupid things so, being quite gallant I gave my telephoto lens to Kerry. "No, no says I, I'll use my 17-85 wide angle lens, I've taken a heaps of good shots with this before." Dis-bloody-asterous. This

The balloons were back this morning and they brought a mate with them. Once again, it had rained heavily last night. One day I'll get a decent photo of them, maybe! Just got back doing the last minute shopping and I think that Half of South East Queensland did the same thing. Had to get a small Ham, and some Prawns, and Ice cream, and Lollies, and Pop corn, and Bubbly. That's it, I'm finished, done. "Broke!" Now I shall wait and see if I've been a good boy this year.
